APAC01_Turn on the lightby *Aureta

First real artwork of 2013~ I'm kind of late, but how's the new year, guys? haha..
This is the first piece for my AP art exam/concentration. My basic theme is idioms. Can you guess this one? For the first piece I meant to keep it pretty basic.

Expect some more realistic/semi-realistic pieces for the next three months to come; for this portfolio I'm going to have to keep away from my usual (?) style. I mean, it's still pretty much me, but as far as faces go I'm not quite sure.

I'm taking some major inspiration for `AquaSixio and *sandara for this period, but not like in a copying manner but that I'm hoping to reach some of `AquaSixio's depth and randomness of concepts and *sandara's illustration-like compositions. (*sandara also happens to be the example for this category in the submit page xD) I'm considering using Feng Zhu as an inspiration but I doubt I'll be producing anything at that level =.=

I'm about to get my butt kicked in the next few months-- this portfolio requires one piece per week, and frankly I don't think I've worked at that speed yet (and they expect me to make good quality stuff in such as short time, pfft. But then again, I managed to do this, so...)
